He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Pitts and Hazel Pitts (Jacobs); his wife Mary; and his sister Edith. He is survived by: his children, Lynette Jordan (Jeffrey) of Freeport and Leonard Pitts (Jennifer) of Pearl City; his grandchildren, Ashley McKinney (Mike), Dana Jordan (Kelsey), Madison Lott (Justin) and Cody Pitts (Sidney Wright); his great grandchildren, Everly McKinney and Russell McKinney; his siblings, Janice VanDrew (Roger) of Chadwick, Joan Freeman (Clifford) of Byron, Beverly Dayboll of Mt. Carroll and James Pitts (Ruth) of Milledgeville; and his close friend Kathy Klingler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
