She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hessleberger and Vivian Hessleberger (Hespe); her husband Merril; her sons, Roy and Joel; her close friend Erwin Baumann; and her caregiver LaVonne Burke.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Lutz (Trudy) of Inverness, FL, Daniel Lutz of St. Charles, IL and Roseann Unger of Mt. Morris. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in her name.
