He is survived by: his wife Dee Ann Schilling; his children, Tiffany Schilling of Sparta, IL, Nicole Harvey (Thomas) of Coulterville, IL, Alan Schilling, Jr. (Nikki) of Red Bud, IL and Hannah Hille (Preston) of Sparta, IL.; his stepsons, Billy Hiller (Crystal) of Oakdale, IL and Devon Hiller (Paige) of Marissa, IL; his siblings, Susan McMullan (John) of Waterloo, IL and Dale Schilling (Glenda) of Baldwin, IL.; and his grandchildren, MaTayla, Tayden, Vaughn, Fynn, Isara, Eli, Asa, Lux, Prim, Aerianna, Amira and Aryah. He is also survived by 6 step grandchildren and 1 step gr. granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home (101 S Jackson St, New Athens, IL 62264). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
