She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Pugsley and Faye Pugsley (Young); her husband Marion Sawyer; and her siblings, Charles Pugsley (Charlie), Robert Pugsley (Bob) and Lucille Turner.

She is survived by: her children, Harold Sawyer (Jenny) of Lerna, Carol Jones (Sam) of Ashmore, Patricia Sparks (Keith) of Charleston and John Sawyer (Bobbi) of Charleston, Illinois; her grandchildren, Bea "Beth" Sawyer, Ryan Navel, Bryan Sparks, Mitch Sawyer (Aryele O' Dell), Tia Sawyer, Hali Sawyer and Joli Sawyer; her great grandchildren, Magnolia "Maggie" Sawyer, Will Sawyer and Jack Sawyer; and her close friends, Sandy and Mary Alice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Willow Breeze Hospice House in Mattoon, Illinois.
