He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl H. Wahls and Frieda L. Paul Wahls; and his brother James. He is survived by : his children, Tricia Lambert (Eric) of Lexington and Scott Wahls of Lexington; his grandchildren, Shelby Beck (Steven Nease), Leslie, Ashley and Thomas "TJ" Lambert; and his siblings, Linda Daniels (Phillip) of Fairbury, Herschel Wahls of El Paso and Richard Wahls (Barb) of Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to the Parkland Foundation.
