She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Platt and Shirley Platt (Rice); her son Jesse Tournear; her sisters, Vickie Platt and Theresa Hocking; and her niece Missy Platt.

She is survived by: her husband Ricky Tournear; her children, Beth Lochbaum (Jeff), Brandy Slater (Stacey) and Brittani Tournear; her grandchildren, Jazmine (Zakk Whittaker), Jessi, Logan, Livia, Landen, Brighten, Nolan and Demari; her great grandchild Everlyn; and her siblings, Lee Platt (Sheila) and Tina Haley (Jon Waack).
