Joyce A. Stephens Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce A. Stephens (Libertyville, Illinois), who passed away on April 25, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Betty Sutton and Susie Mayberry; and her brother-in-law Joseph J. (Jack). She is survived by: her children, John (Karen), Laura Sherman (Steve) and Scott (Jodie); her grandchildren, Sara, Drew, Jim, Elizabeth of Joe, TJ, Sam, Clarine, Kyra, Jessica and Matthew; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Stephens and Carol Hardman.
She was an accomplished Occupational Therapist who made significant contributions to the field at Americana Nursing Home in Arlington Heights, she established the OT departments at both Lake Forest and Condell hospitals, and then worked for years in home healthcare.
