She was predeceased by: her mother Mary; and her pet Carter. She is survived by: her husband Tyler Dean; her father Abel Montellano; her stepchildren, Kendra Harrington (Chris), Grant Dean and Greta Black (Alex); her siblings, Veronica Montellano (Leo Romeo), Eric Montellano (Geri-Lynn) and Monica Carlson (Ken); her siblings' children, Oliver, Michelle Montellano (Larry Kaganovsky), Amanda, Kate, Jordan Romeo, Erin Meyer, Joshua, Justin, Brandon and Dylan Montellano; her great-nephew Jaxen McDonald; her aunt Kathryn Avelar; and her pet Layla. She is also survived by her family and the many friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church (121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 11:50 AM to 11:59 AM at the Lakeside Cemetery (600 Lake St, Libertyville, IL 60048).
