He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Carani and Rose Carani; and his brother Donald (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Richard (Carol), Mark (Julie), Steven (Jana), Christine Dabizljevic (Dragan) and Kimberly Neisen (Dominic); his grandchildren, Travis (Jolene), Ryder, Meadow, Claire (Michael), Jonathan, Ellie, Alex, Lillie, Phoenix and Keegan; his great grandchildren, Cody, Blake, Cameron and Caden; and his brothers, James (Mary) and Bob (late Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McMurrough Funeral Chapel (101 Park Pl, Libertyville, IL 60048). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church (121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048).
