With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas H Elfering (Libertyville, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Edythe; and his siblings, Lawrence, Leo "Bud" and Frances "Doll" Romeo.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Maniola-Elfering; his children, Kimberly Elfering Stanley, Scott Elfering, Joseph Maniola (Laura) and Vincent Maniola (Laura Stratton); and his grandchildren, Gavin Stanley, Owen, Kyle Elfering, David, Rachel, Grace Maniola, Amy Allen (Sam) and Michael Maniola. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
