He is survived by: his siblings, James Hamman (Mildred) and Darlene Shearer (Rex); his children, Joseph Hamman (Julie) and Joyce Allen (Rich); his grandchildren, Laura Ortiz (Mike), Rebecca Moore (Thom), Allison Fogerty (Jon), Stephanie Allen, Michael Allen (Hannah) and Elizabeth Allen; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Sofia, Mia, Peter and Merideth.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:55 AM at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church (121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Ascension Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
