He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Katz and Esther Katz. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Katz; his daughters, Lisa Jo Abbo (Paul) of Chicago, Bobbie Jo Jones (Nathan) of Lincoln and Kendall Katz; his grandchildren, Justin Barr, Brooklyn Anhalt (Jason), Jordan Barr, Alex Harker (Sarah), Hayleigh Kanzler (Adam), Rebecca Abbo and Evan Abbo; and his caregiver Linda Jones. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and his mother-in-law.
To honor Dave's legacy, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family in care of Lisa Abbo to help reduce funeral expenses.
