He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour John and Gloria Cecelia Powers Jones; and his brother David Lee Jones. He is survived by: his close friend LaVerne "Verny" Robb; his brother Tom Jones; his nieces and nephews, Lea Anderson (Matt), Tate Jones (Kendra) and Kyle Jones (Stacey); his sister-in-law Gail Jones; his brother Rick Jones (Shannon); and his nieces, Angela Jones (Adam Maxwell) and Amber Broude (Kevin).

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #263 or Lincoln Eagles Aerie #2708.

His dad was an electrician and brought home a device that when cranked put out a voltage that was a challenge to hand on to.
