He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold A. Roos and Rebecca Roos (Cress); his wife Eloise Gannon; his siblings, Hervil Roos and Melba Novak; his sister-in-law Kathy Roos; his grandson David McEnire; and his great grandchild Alayah.

He is survived by : his children, Michael Keith Roos (Keena), Kenny Gannon (Lita), Margaret Frakes, Kathy James, Terri McEntire (Ron) and Minnie Hedrick (Robbie); his grandchildren, Autumn Kopochius (Roos), Summer Roos, Connie Purdue, Tammy O'Brien, Dana Heyen, Erica Frakes, Lori Kay Crosier, Justin Gannon, Jaimie Gannon, John Black and Carie Groves; and his brother Marlin Roos. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to Zion Lutheran School.
