As we bid Melonie Kay Hopp farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Melonie Kay Hopp is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Hopp and Sandy Hopp (Hoffert); her son Richard L. Campbell; and her brother Rick Hopp. She is survived by: her daughter Echo Buse (Jason Mote) of Panama City, FL.; her grandchildren, Madison Mote, Ronnie Mote and Mariah Mote; and her friend Cindy Prescott of Lincoln.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home (620 Pulaski St, Lincoln, IL 62656).
Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Echo Buse and will be accepted at the funeral home.
