He was predeceased by: his mother Eileen (Gant). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Tackett (Hayter); his children, Michelle Sniff-Banzhaf (Shannon) and Robert Sniff (Claire); his grandsons, Brandon Rahn (Paul) and Justin Sniff; and his siblings, Dan Tackett (Carol), Alice Bloomgren (Harry) and Becky Rich (Jon). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln American Legion Post 263.
