Michael John Higgins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael John Higgins of Lincolnshire, Illinois, born in Des Plaines, Illinois, who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his partner Chance. He is survived by : his parents, Robert Sr. and Marianne; his siblings, Robert Jr. Higgins (Kim) of Lake Villa, IL, Christine Konopacki (Andrew) of Minnesota and Marianne McDermott (Stephen) of Grayslake, IL; his nieces and nephews, Zackery Higgins, Payton Higgins, Anastasia Gagliardi (Sam), Katya Konopacki, Alek Konopacki, Andre Konopacki, Oliver Flagg, Aidan McDermott, Kenna McDermott and Theodore McDermott; and his great-nephews, Andrew and Lawrence Gagliardi. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Special Response Team, Lake County Dive Rescue Team, Medical Officer, E. M. S. Chief, Fire Department Incident Safety Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Department Infection Control Officer, St. Baldricks Coordinator and assisted with administering the COVID vaccine through the Lake County Health Department.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund for donations to be put toward lifesaving equipment in Michael's honor.
