He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Ann Richter; his parents, Leo Richter and Ann Richter; his sisters, Ruth Hanson (late Albert) and Nancy Moran; and his brother-in-law John Curtis Pocklington (Brenda).
He is survived by: his children, David Richter (Roberta) of Justice, IL, Patrick Richter of Dallas, TX and Anne Ferris (Michael) of Yorkville, IL; his grandson Nicholas Geertz; his sister Mary Richter of DeForest, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Terrence Pocklington (Pamela) and Mary Ann Stolley (Ken).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Monastery Chapel (1910 Maple Ave, Lisle, IL 60532).
