He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Roper and Elizabeth Roper (Welsh); his daughter Anne Marie; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Caulk and Ralph Link.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Roper (Link); his children, Jan Niehaus (Brad), Lynn Hearn (Roger), Chuck Roper, Andrea DeVries (Al), David Roper (Christine) and Jeff Roper; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Link (Becky), Janet Caulk and Jane Link. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Litchfield Sports Boosters or the St. Clare Center Food Pantry.
