He is survived by: his wife Susan Lynn; his son James Powell, Jr. (Melissa) of Litchfield; his stepchildren, David Scott (Tonia Nelson) of Edwardsville, Craig Scott (Lisa) of Edwardsville and Holly Oberhansly (Chris) of Springfield, MO.; his grandchildren, Jordan Godier (Darrell), Bailey Powell, Carter Powell, Alexander Powell, Heather Turner, Paige Myers (Dan), John Scott, David Scott, Moira Scott, Gabrielle Montalbano (Jacob), Samuel Scott and Brennan Oberhansly; his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Darrell, Colton, Korin, Auggie and Declan; and his siblings, Joe Powell of Granite City, IL, Bob Powell (Kathy) of Ironton, MO and Rachel Pace of Piedmont, AL..
