With sadness, we share the passing of Joseph Spencer of Litchfield, Illinois. Joseph, born on December 11, 1945, passed away on August 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Joseph for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Spencer and Delberta D. Spencer (Smith); his wife Donna Louise Reynolds; and his brothers, A. Wayne Spencer and Howard "Tiny" Spencer.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Spencer (Katrina) of Virden, IL and Shane Spencer (Jennifer Lynn Tregunna) of Lusby, MD. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Plummer Funeral Home (404 E Union Ave, Litchfield, IL 62056). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Department, 201 E. Edwards St., Litchfield, IL 62056 or to St. Jude's, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
