She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Cornelius and Lucille Romelta Brakenhoff (Miller); her husband Raymond "Larry" Simmons; her brothers, Rev. Larry Brakenhoff and Bernard Brakenhoff; her brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Warman; and her niece Kimberly Bergman (Brakenhoff).

She is survived by: her children, Raymond Simmons (Vicki) of Evansville, IN, David Simmons (Jacqueline) of Haymarket, VA and Laura Simmons of Edwardsville, IL; her siblings, Leslie Brakenhoff (Sue) of Litchfield, Byron Brakenhoff (Terry) of Chattanooga, TN, Dale Brakenhoff (Nancy) of Litchfield, Ramona Warman of Charleston, IL and Marilyn Loptien (Don) of Fort Collins, CO.; her grandchildren, Zachary Simmons, Makenzie Frazier (Jeremy), Emma Simmons and William Simmons; and her great grandchildren, Gunnar, Wyatt, Eli and Calla Joyce.
