It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Lee Tackaberry of Litchfield, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on July 24, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Archie Tackaberry and Ida Tackaberry (Sadler); his children, William D. Tackaberry, Tina Tackaberry and Jacqueline Fette; and his siblings, Robert Tackaberry, Aileen Tackaberry, Hazel Suits, Gladys Towell and Rowena Chamberlin.
He is survived by : his wife Cynthia Sue Raines; his children, Marcus Tackaberry (Madonna) of St. Charles, MO, Robert Tackaberry of Litchfield, Carolyn Dieckgrafe (Roger) of Harvester, MO and Victoria Bracci (David) of Dardenne Prairie, MO; his stepchildren, Dan Raines of Chester, IL and Julie Mathews of Veedersburg, IN; and his sister Shirley Hughes of Decatur, IL.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Litchfield Veterans' Memorial Garden or the Litchfield Museum & Route 66 Welcome Center.
