John Nation Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Nation of Loami, Illinois, who passed away on February 5, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Sr. Nation and Margaret Nation (Weiss); his brothers, Jim, Robert and Gerald Nation; his stepsisters, Mary Lou Wanless and Norma Vatile; his daughter-in-law Robin Nation; and his stepbrothers, Jim Wilson, John and Jim Compardo.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Dodd; his sons, Herbert (Roxann) of Loami, Tom of Ogden, UT, Richard (Ronda) of Taylorville and David Nation (Christina) of Springfield; and his siblings, Don of Springfield, Gary Nation (Vickie) of Springfield, Janice Radford of Sherman, Carl Compardo of Loami and Fred Compardo of Marion. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
