Edith J. Gilson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith J. Gilson of Lockport, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Edith departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edith. Though Edith may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Bakosh and Marion Bakosh of Hickory Hills; and her former husband William J. Carrier. She is survived by: her husband Herbert T. Gilson; her children, William L. Carrier (Kathryn) and Denise L. Demetral; and her grandson Matthew Demetral (Kasey).
