With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Verstrate Jr. of Lockport, Illinois, born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, whose life came to an end on November 3, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Verstrate and Helen Verstrate; and his sister Shirley Ledeboer. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Verstrate; his children, Chris Verstrate (Kadie) and Kelly Lenarz (Josh); his grandchildren, Madeline, Jake, Luke, Lilly, Ahmiya Verstrate, Peyton, Casey, Dylan and Ryder Lenarz; his sisters, Gail Florian (late Shawn) and Johnette VanHaveren (Tom); and his brother-in-law Richard Ledeboer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the O'Neil Funeral Chapel (1105 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441).
