With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard J. Skuta of Lockport, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda Skuta; his parents, Joseph Skuta and Theresa Skuta (Nee Ligos); and his siblings, Joseph (Helen), Theresa (Pete), Albert Skuta and Lorraine Tezak.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Skuta (Nee Eckman); his daughters, Lori Miller (Bob), Lisa Hartford (Tim) and Julie Kandell (Justin); his grandchildren, Makenzie, Ethan Miller, Alissa Smart (Kyle), Katie Bandyk (Bryan), Hailey Hartford (Jacob Kuhne), Logan and Aiden Kandell; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Bandyk and Sabrina Smart; and his in-laws, Nancy Skuta, Dr. Skip Eckman (Georgene) and Gerald Tezak. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (410 S Jefferson St, Lockport, IL 60441). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lightways Hospice or St. Joseph Church, Lockport in Lenny's name would be greatly appreciated.
