Lois L. Gatlin Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois L. Gatlin of Lockport, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Gatlin; her parents, Henry Nussmeyer and Lovell Nussmeyer; her siblings, Ray Nussmeyer, Pearl Coffey (Thomas), Jean Miller (Leon) and Shirley Clemons (Clyde); her son-in-law Douglas Norman; and her brother-in-law Bethel Poston II.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Norman (Kim Sitzlar) and Sandra Ekkert (Cliff); her grandchildren, Kellie Wujek, Andrew Norman (Erin), Alex Norman (Tina Eeles), Casey Hall (Alex) and Kip Ekkert (Sylvia); her great grandchildren, Parker Wujek, Wilder, Eleanor Hall and Shaw Ekkert; and her sister Carol Poston.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel (1105 E 9th St, Lockport, IL 60441). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
