With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marisa M. Harder of Lockport, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 46. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Lawrence Allen Slimko III; her grandparents, William Marroquin, Rachel Coleson and Carol Elmore; and her great-grandparent Alberto Adame.
She is survived by: her parents, Ruth Werkau (Marroquin) and Raymond Scott Werkau of DePue; her daughters, Madison Slimko of Peru and Kaia Grilc of Lockport; her grandmother Celia Marroquin of DePue; and her sisters, Sally Harder of DePue, Danielle Harder of DePue, Anna Harder of DePue, Lindsey Werkau of DePue, Amanda Wright of Mesa, Arizona and Courtney Garcia (Jovan) of Princeton. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barto Funeral Home (120 W Cleveland St, Spring Valley, IL 61362). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
