It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael J. Nickel (Lockport, Illinois), who passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his son Dustin; his parents, Richard Nickel and Elaine Nickel; and his sister Sandy Fessler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Gregory (Eric Jackson), Michelle Perryman (Ralph), Christine Kiel (Mark) and Cynthia Murray (Tom); and his siblings, Pete Nickel (Sandy), Carl Nickel (Carla), Mark Nickel and Susie Nickel. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lockport City Cemetery (518 Madison St, Lockport, IL 60441).
