With sadness, we share the passing of Ronald E. Blendowski of Lockport, Illinois. Ronald, born on October 5, 1951, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Blendowski and Emily Blendowski; and his pets, Rusty, Dakota and Monte.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Blendowski; his stepchildren, Renee Fletcher (Bill Perkins) and John Ceylor (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Mark Fletcher, Ashley Young (Jacob), Richie Fletcher (Rheanna), Chloe Carmondy (T. J.), Brianna Fletcher (Daniel Steinlicht), Shyanne Fletcher, Tara Nelson (Tod) and Brandon Ceylor. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). The military honors will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (7201 Archer Ave, Justice, IL 60458).
