He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. and Nancy Pennock (Osburn); his wife Teresa Ann Brown; his brother Karl Thompson; and his nieces, Nichole Harman and Tracy Harman.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Thompson (Miriam) of Orlando, Florida and Tammy Resendez (Josh) of McGregor, Texas; his stepdaughter Sue Ann Huckaby of Macomb; his stepmother Joyce Thompson of Lomax; his grandchildren, Josiah Thompson, Gabriella Thompson, Avery Thompson, Dalton Thulen and Ashton Thulen; his sisters, Rhonda Foley of Burlington, Melanie Evans (Rick) of Lomax, Leana Yard of LaHarpe, Andrea Thompson of Cedar Rapids and Marie Berry (Robert) of Lomax; and his close friend JuJu of West Burlington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
