Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Alexander Catholic Church (300 S Cornell Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Francis Kania to the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute Patient and Family Assistance Fund (https://nmgive.donordrive.com), which supports patients and families affected by brain and spinal cord tumors at Northwestern Medicine.
