She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Van Ryn; her son Charles William Van Ryn; her parents, Richard DeMaa and Jesse DeMaa; and her siblings, Martin, Jennie, Jeanette and William.

She is survived by : her children, Beverly Engel and Barbara Green (Robert); and her grandchildren, Scott Engel (Julie), Shawn Engel (Jenny), Christopher Engel, Michelle Green and Nicole Green. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
