He is survived by: his wife Marlene Iwema; his children, Susan Sarmiento (John), Robert Iwema (Dianne), Nancy Van Hout (John) and Michelle Firnsin (Michael); his grandchildren, Tristan and Ellie Iwema; his children, Luke, Tessa, Kate Van Hout, Jake, Connor and Sam Firnsin; and his siblings, Martha Kooger (Piet), Fred Iwema (late Rose) and Mary Gustafson (Rod). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
