She was predeceased by : her parents, Elizabeth Burke and Thomas Burke; her husband John Caruso (Jack); and her siblings, Edmund, Thomas, Martin and Jean.

She is survived by : her brother John Burke (Patricia); her children, Margherita Caruso (Fred), Mark Caruso (Shirley), Andrea Townrow (Neil), Matthew Caruso (Delores) and John Caruso (Corie); her grandchildren, Sylvana, Clare, Dominic, Jack, Robert and Sarah (Anthony); and her great grandchild Evelina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Norene's name to Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.
