She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Axel and Linda Axel (Wirsing); her siblings, Harriet Case (late Guy), Gladys Kerns (late Fred), Vera Hart (late Henry) and Bill Axel (late Donna); her nieces and nephews, Dick Case (late Barb), Karen Kerns O'Connor (late Bill), Lynn Hart Smith and Bill Axel; her in-laws, Joseph Scott, Sr. and Violet Scott; and her sister-in-law Bernice Scott.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Bill Case (late Jody) of Colorado, Susie Case Rush (late John) of Michigan, Nancy Kerns Anderson of Kansas, Fred Kerns (Susan) of Michigan, John Hart (Shelly) of South Carolina and Tom Axel (Carla) of Louisiana; her stepdaughters, Barbara Scott of Villa Park and Virginia Scott; and her stepgrandsons, Chu and Liu Scott of Colorado.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (545 Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
