He is survived by : his father Heinz Riehn; his wife Marlene Bergmann; his daughters, Susanne Kaluzinski (Antoni), Karolyn Congalton (Michael), Kristine Kueck (Matthew) and Ann Marie Riehn; his sister Karin Shotts; his grandchildren, Lauren, Gavin, Carson, Emily, Abigail, Ryan, Elin, Otto and Greta; his nephew William; and his niece Katherine.
