He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Bauer and Lois Bauer (Cool); his stepdaughter Angela Alderson; and his great grandchild Layla Holofchak. He is survived by: his wife Carol Alderson; his children, Russ Kerr of Kentucky, Randi Viola of Tennessee, Bobby Crawford, Jeremy Bauer of Manville and Jesse Alderson of Pontiac; and his siblings, Robert Bauer (Mary) of Streator and Marilyn Champlain (Ned) of Streator. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
