He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Smith and Mary Ellen Wear Smith; and his daughter Amanda Maxine Smith. He is survived by: his wife Gayla Nichols; his children, Jesse Smith of Quincy, IL, Daniel Ray Smith and Jennifer Peters; his grandson Nicholas Smith; and his sister Shirley Mae Sitrick.
