He is survived by : his parents, David Wayne Gumbel of Clay City, IL and Tammy Lynn Straeter (Oldham) of Breese, IL; his wife Emily Gumbel; his children, Neveah Gumbel, Axle Gumbel and Mette Marlene Tobaben (Niedersachen) of Ahlerstedt; his in-laws, Rocky and Tracy Waddell of Newburgh, IN; his siblings, Matt Gumbel (Jennifer) of Elizabeth, IN and Heather Cooley (Jake) of Pocahontas, IL; his brothers-in-law, Todd Waddell of Chandler, IN and Craig Waddell (Jayme) of Newburgh, IN; his grandfather John Oldham (Betty) of Louisville, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Ryder Waddell, Madelyn Gumbel, Khloe Gumbel, Jackson Cooley, Halle Cooley, Cole Waddell and Mckinley Waddell.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Flora, IL 62839). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at the Smith Cemetery.
