He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barbee and Margaret Barbee (Lewis); his wife Erma Pearl Berthold; and his sister Sue Goebel (Jerry). He is survived by: his sons, Darren Barbee (Julie) of Louisville, Ryan Barbee (Brenda) of Effingham and Chad Barbee (Lanie) of Louisville; his granddaughters, RaeAnne Modlin (Matthew) of Evansville, Lara Healy (Mitch) of Louisville, Ananiah Barbee of Louisville and Isabella Barbee of Louisville; his great grandchild Isaiah Modlin of Evansville, Indiana; and his brother Larry Barbee (Betty) of Bible Grove.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Red Brush Christian Church (16707 US-45, Louisville, IL 62858). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Vic's memory to either Red Brush Building Fund or Oil Belt Christian Service Camp.
