He was predeceased by: his parents, John Erickson and Jennie Erickson (Day); his wife Lela Erickson; his son Kurtis (Brigette Erickson); his wife Edna Reddekopp; and his siblings, Adrian Erickson, Harold Day and Shirley Vyborny.
He is survived by: his aunt Edna; his children, Ken Erickson (Lynn), Keith Erickson (Zanice) and Karla Lahre (Kyle); and his siblings, John Erickson Jr. and Louise Martell. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
