It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Louise Thompson of Loves Park, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Stenzel and Mary Stenzel (Rogozinski); her son Brian Thompson; her in-laws, Clarence and Bobbie Thompson; and her brother Walter "Sonny" Stenzel (Carol).

She is survived by: her husband Gary Thompson; her sons, Dan Thompson (Joyce) and Scott Thompson (Melinda); her grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson and Amanda Thompson; her stepgranddaughters, Dawn Cook (Kevin) and Cheryl Davis (Terry); her stepgreat-grandchild Ashley; her siblings, Dolly Massier (Don), Larry Stenzel (Barb) and Paul Stenzel; her close friend Betty Day (Craig); and her sister-in-law Pat Picavet (Herb Grigg). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
