He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Burke and Marian Burke (Flemming); his mother-in-law Shirley Bock; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Ackman and Karen Kublank.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Bock; his children, Jeremy Burke (Kelly), Kelley Peterson (Josh), Tom Burke and Kristin Beyers (Chris); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashley, Gus and Charlotte; his siblings, Reney Ackman, Peggy Courier (Wes), Judy Frohling (Don), Jack Burke (Penny) and Kathy Dusenberry (Norm); and his father-in-law Fred Bock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Machesney Park.
