It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W Carlson of Loves Park, Illinois, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carlson and Ada Carlson (Forschen); and his siblings, Judy Kulp, Richard Carlson and Roger Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Kristine Carlson; his children, Dennis Carlson (Tricia), Todd Carlson, Jennifer Carlson, Lynley Messink (Steve) and Krisette Carlson; his grandchildren, Adrianna (Matthew), Taylor (Alex), Ryan, Ava, Kara (Abby), Haley, Stefan, Steven, Paige, Shelby, Shawn and Marcus (Jasmin); his great grandchildren, Delilah, Finnick, Kamden, Izzy, Noah and Nayanna; and his siblings, Joy Andersen (Carl), Phyllis Bump (Dave), Kenneth Carlson, Sue Dumonceaux (Henry) and Janice Miller (Dave). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
