With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Thelen of Loves Park, Illinois, who passed away on April 4, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome B. Thelen and Evelyn Thelen (Slack). He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Woods; and his children, Theresa Thelen, John Thelen (Angie), Dan Thelen, Matt Thelen, Mike Thelen (Jade), Kathleen Thelen and Barbara Baldwin (Anthony). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church or Carlson Boys and Girls Club, 7406 Elm Ave., Machesney Park, IL 61115.
