We are sad to announce that, on December 9, 2025, at the age of 87, Ronald Hurst Sr. of Lovington, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Emmett and Ruth Ann Hurst (Voegtle); his wife Margie M. Griffin; his daughter Rachel Cyritha "CeeCee" Goacher; his nephew Jeffrey Hurst; and his niece Beth Henseler (Spoonamoore).
He is survived by: his children, Marilana Mychele "Margie" Hurst (Danny May) of Normal, Christel McQuality of Dalton City and Ronald Raymond Hurst Jr. of Harristown; his grandchildren, Rachel Hurst (Adam Bendele) of Denver, Brian McQuality (Kaitlyn) of Noblesville, Dr. Griffin McQuality D. C. (Elizabeth D. C.) of St. Charles and Brady Raymond Hurst (Kyra) of Pana; his great grandchildren, Gretchen Olichwier, Stella Olichwier, Edith Morse, Faith Morse, Charlotte Hurst, Clara McQuality and Hartford Hurst; and his siblings, Daryl Hurst (Judy) of Decatur and Janet Spoonamoore (John) of Raleigh. He is also survived by cousins, several beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
