Peterson and Myrtle Lillian Peterson (Jahr); his wife Anita; his siblings, Olive Weflen (Raymond), Lester Peterson (Josephine), Arlene Pearson (Alvin) and Genevieve Lane (Burton); his nieces and nephews, Kathy Scharpen, Sandy Tennyson, Mary Lane, Steven Weflen and Kenny Pearson; his great-nephews, Scott Beeh and Jeremy Peterson; his brother-in-law Robert Bursell; his nephew Gary DuSavage; his great-nephew Matthew Bielski; Madyson Panek, Sydney Fosse (Frank) and Roberta Hallen (Neil).
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn; his son-in-law Mike McGirk; his granddaughter Braydyn McGirk; his grandson-in-law Nathan Dingess; and his siblings-in-law, Loretta Robinett, Jane Bursell and Brian Bursell (Jen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
