He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer VanVleet and Ina VanVleet (Wickler); and his grandson Sal. He is survived by: his wife Faye LeHew; and his children, Rob VanVleet (Diane), Tim VanVleet (Suzan), Lori Sutton (Rick Twine) and Susan Danforth (Joe). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111).
